YouTube Control Fix: Stop Audio and Video Skipping
YouTube Control Fix is a free Chrome add-on developed by Arthur Cosentino. This add-on aims to solve the issue of audio changing and video skipping when using the left and right arrow keys and the up and down arrow keys, respectively.
The YouTube user interface (UI) has different actions for the arrow keys depending on the last selection made with the mouse, such as the video, track bar, or volume. This extension intercepts these keystrokes and reverses the default action taken by the UI. It then sends fake keystrokes to the video element, ensuring that the arrow keys consistently perform the desired action.
